International Earth Day 2018

On Sunday, April 22nd 2018, Villa Air Bali recognised International Earth Day 2018, the world’s largest environmental movement. Earth Day 2018 is focused on reducing plastic pollution, an issue that is very important to the team of Villa Air Bali Boutique Resort & Spa due to the impact it can have on the amazing environment of Bali, the island of Gods.

“Guests will now find mineral water in glass bottles, upcycled glassware and linen laundry bags in their villas, instead of plastic”, reports Roy Suer, Resort Manager of Villa Air Bali. “We have also made a number of changes in our back of house to minimise the amount of waste (plastic or otherwise) produced by the resort and are committed to reducing any environmental impact the resort has on the local environment. This includes replacing plastic with (upcycled) glass or re-usable materials, the implementation of a waste management system and frequent support of the local community in their dedicated beach cleaning efforts of the nearby Petitenget Beach, to help remove rubbish that washes up on our beautiful beaches.
